Background: Not only the regime is brutally crushing the people repeatedly uprising after uprising and keeps themselves in power, they are now trying to reach out to younger generation with distorted and fabricated facts ahead the planned sham election. The regime recently come out with a propaganda film, "Arr Yone Oo Mhar Phyu Te Kyar,” portraying the people and the participants in the historic prodemocracy events in Burma as mere street thugs while they are the true savior of the country. The film is full of outright lies, fabrication and complete lack of respect and insult to the people.

The distorted events in the film include the 8888 uprising, 1974 U Thant affair and the 1990 historic election.

One of the actresses in the notorious film is part of the group performing on the September 25 evening at The Little Theater in Daly City, and we are therefore protesting it. The film outrages many people around the world and many forms of protests have taken place in the cities they have performed (UK and US).

Our goal in protesting is not to target any individual or the concert, but to express our rejection of regime's attempt to distort the history and also to remind young people to be careful of such fabricated and distorted facts.

The people of Burma have no voice, but we will give voice to them!
